Sensei Charleton has studied aikido since 1975 under the supervision of Shizuo Imaizumi Shihan, 7th Dan founder and chief instructor of the Shin Budo Kai in New York City and one of the last masters to be taught directly by Morihei Ueshiba, founder of Aikido.
Sensei Charleton is the Chief Instructor and founder of the CT Shinbudokai and has taught at the Hombu Dojo [see above link] and the New York Ki Society.
He has also taught Aikido in Litchfield County through the Regional School District Adult Educational Program.
